2025 Year End Letter

2025 is coming to an end. What an eventful two months it has been for Dive Aunties. I want to share some accomplishments made possible by our team of admins and volunteers in these two short months (since 10/3/25):

• Membership count: 150+

• Hosted our first club dive with over 28+ participants

• Inspired three level 1 and one level 2 certified freedivers

• One free zoom session by Chiara N.

• Raffled off 5+ pieces of gear for free thanks to our sponsors

• Establish as a nonprofit & tax exempt approved by the IRS

• Received our first donation & affiliate sales, we’re on our way to sponsor our first scholarship student!

• Became affiliates for three brands where 100% from sales goes to our scholarship

• Established a full executive board

• Weekly dive meet ups & pool training

I’m really excited to be able to bring these raffles, meet ups, impromptu Catalina trips, and club meetings at no cost to our community. Special thanks to Auntie Hannah who linked us up with so many generous sponsors including: Auntie Hannah herself, Auntie Jackie, Spear America, Masahiro Miro (Morifish), Evolve Apnea, Ebb Ocean Club, Mutiny Lobster Co. Cindy at Surf-fur for being so welcoming. Auntie Karla for leading all dives & event organization. Auntie Phuong for her steadfast commitment to community relationships.

Our freediving community came together for safe freediving, representation & inclusivity in our waters, and human connection. We have some exciting things planned for 2026, announcements to come soon.
